Interactive Maps

Welcome to Arizona Indicators’ new interactive school district maps. This section contains interactive maps for Arizona’s Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS), Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), AZ LEARNS, high school dropout rates, and high school graduation rates.

This interactive tool visualizes data that were previously available in tabular formats, allowing you to seamlessly move from county level aggregates to data for specific neighborhoods or schools. Whether you are a researcher, parent, educator, or community leader, this format can reveal interesting geographic clusters or trends at your level of interest. It also enables you to convert data into interactive graphs or view and sort in a traditional data table. Our primary goal is to facilitate new ways of viewing, analyzing, and interpreting standard education data.

Each map contains an information tab with a brief description of the data and relevant notes on methodology and use. All data, including district and county level aggregates, come from the Arizona Department of Education (www.ade.state.az.us). All schools are included in county-level aggregates. Charter schools (with the exception of district-sponsored charter schools) are not included in district-level aggregates. This method is consistent with reporting by the Arizona Department of Education. Arizona Indicators did not perform any independent calculations or analysis; however, there is always some potential for display error when converting to a visual format. If you have any questions about how to use or interpret the data, please contact Arizona Indicators.
