Total Calls Answered by Arizona Community Information Referral
This graph reflects only answered calls and does not reflect the total number of calls received. Due to funding shortfalls, Community Information Referral (CIR) has experienced a reduction in staffing. As a result, fewer Call Specialists are available to answer calls, which leads to increased abandonment rates by callers. For instance, from July 1, 2011 through February 29, 2012, CIR received 221,046 calls for service and was only able to handle 130,785 calls. In fact, CIR's call volume has steadily increased over time. Since activating the three digit dialing number 2-1-1 Arizona in October 2011, CIR's call volume has doubled.
